February Fun

We've had a big mix of weather over the past month. One day it's 90 and the kids brave the pool....and the next it's 35 degrees rainy & windy. I'm ready for summer! Having the pool all summer is going to be so much fun this year, we're excited!

Lex is on the Little League Board this year and in charge of stocking the concession stand! So we're making it a family affair and all pitching in to load it up!

The bigs taking a selfie!!

And the little still messy as can be and toothless ;)

Lots of micromachines  happening on this day!

And Katelyn typically catches up on her sleep Sunday afternoon lately, she's one busy young lady! And yes, we do have an extra TV on the floor of the office. She brought in her bean bag chair and made it cozy!

Track Season has begun as well. They've had one practice meet so far and Katelyn did high jump, the 400 M dash, and the 1600 M run. She did awesome, getting 1st in the 400 and 3rd in the 1600, with a personal best of 6:15 in the mile! She's got some tendinitis in one of her Achilles tendons now, so we'll see how far she gets to go into track this season. She may have to take a break to let it heal, but she's really hoping she can push through it.

We got to have a little date night with Kyler the other night. We went to Texas Pride BBQ while Levi was at a birthday party & Katelyn was at the rodeo. We loved the food, live music, & scenery. He ended up reading his Harry Potter book after dinner, so it felt like Lex and I were on a date :) LOL

And reading Harry Potter again....pretty much every chance he can get. He's on book 6! He read the last book in 2 weeks, it's the largest one of the series, a 7th grade level book, and worth 44 AR points!

On President's Day, the kids had the day off so we headed to San Antonio for their dentist appointments and then messed around our old neck of the woods for a bit. We played on the Bob Beard Elem. playground and they reminisced about all their playground stories from when they went to school there. We got Chick-fil-A and went into our old HEB to shop for a few little things. I'm so used to our current HEB, I barely remembered shopping there, it was really strange!

Katelyn's Alamo recreation for Texas History! She had fun making this in class.

And a last minute sleepover at the Nichols' house, Pam sent me this picture of everyone asleep when they got home from the Wilson County Stock Show. Aren't they cute!
