Cross Country District Champion

Katelyn pulled it out and got District Champion again! She had a stomach bug the two days prior and was still pretty weak, so her time was almost 2 minutes slower than normal, but she still won! We're so proud and she is looking forward to running on the girls varsity team in HS next year! Coach McKinney has already told her she'll be on varsity if she keeps running the way she's been running. That's pretty good motivation!!

8th Grade Volleyball

Katelyn was the setter on the B team this year and was chosen as captain each game as well. Although B team wasn't her top pick, she was able to play the whole game each week and had to become a leader on the court, which she would not have had if she was on A team. She loved playing and is always setting the ball around the house now. They grew so much this year and had a lot of fun!

JH Cheer

Katelyn finished up JH Cheer last week and it's all a little bittersweet. Cheer is not something she had any interest in until 6th grade pep squad. She has always loved tumbling though, so she put in the work and learned some cheer techniques, enough to earn a spot on the team. Since then, she has really improved and has excellent sharp, crisp moves. We'll see if she continues cheering in HS, unfortunately her three favorite activities are all in the Fall. Time will tell if she can do it all again this year or not. Either way, cheer has been a great way to make some sweet friends and learn how to get up in front of a crowd and have fun!

They won Grand Champion for school floats in this years Peanut Festival Parade.

Digital Arts field trip to the Wilson County News...then their picture made the paper!

Kyler created his own board game and we all had a blast taking turns playing it with him!

Kyler has been playing soccer too, he really enjoys the practices, especially now that the cooler weather has kicked in a bit. He definitely has a lot of fun and is the loudest, most talkative of the group. Maybe not the MVP, but definitely is having a blast!

Night out on the Riverwalk with friends (and the moms)!

Katelyn's phone sends me her pictures too, so I get to enjoy all these fun teen selfies too! My beauty!

Sea World fright fest with friends!

And our chicks are still doing well too! We are getting 4 eggs consistently a day and a 5th egg every now and then. Soon we'll get 7 a day!
