Kyler competed in several events this year for UIL and surprised us by placing in almost everything. Final placements and medals will be handed out later at the awards ceremony, but we think he may end up with 6 medals this year! It was fun to sit and wait with his friends at the end of one night, they played Uno No Mercy while they waited, he's got a great group of smart friends!
We learned how to make Turkish Delite to give to Mimi for Christmas, it turned out pretty tasty!
First band concert ever and they did amazing!! He loves the trumpet and can't wait to march in the HS band in a few years! Mimi and Pops were in town so they were able to come too!
He went to Elise's birthday party and won these taco slippers as a prize! He can Colin are a fun pair in these slippers, haha!
He also had a piano recital and his teacher, Mrs. Courtney, made each student a chocolate piano as a gift, how cool is that! I'm sure it took forever to make them all! At the recital he played Mele Kalikimaka and did great! He practiced for months on it and had it down pretty well, although got a little nervous and messed up more than during practice, but overall did fantastic!
He also got to go to the JH Winter Dance this year! We had a group of his friends over for a quick dinner beforehand and they had so much fun together! What a sweet group!
Both boys before the dance! Levi headed over to Bryce's house to get away from the 6th graders, haha!
