Shopping!!!

So on Sunday, us girls decided to take a trip to the outlet mall and do some shopping! We were apparently all in the mood to do some serious shopping, because we brought home a ton of stuff! Check it out! (Please note, Megann wasn't in this picture so add about 4 more bags, at least, to the pile)

Aggie Muster 2007

Tonight we went to Aggie Muster with the Upstate A&M Club. I was pleased to see about 60 people there! We were by far the youngest there, but it was a good time over all. Did anyone else go to Muster??

Our 2nd Anniversary

Can you believe it? We have now been married for two whole years! It is amazing how time flies when you are having fun! We have so much to be thankful for, we are truly blessed to have each other!

So to celebrate, we decided to stay in for the evening and make our own Fondue! We went all out with a cheese fondue made with Emnenthaler and Gruyeye Cheeses in a wine sauce. Then of course we had to have desert, so we went with a milk chocolate, caramel (pronounced CAR-MEL) and hazelnuts! YUMMY! We ate way too much!

As some of you may know, your second anniversary is the gift of "cotton". Well, Lex took this to the next degree and got us tickets to go see David "Cotton"field...some of you may know him as David Copperfield! haha! I'm excited and he definitely gets major points for working in the "cotton" aspect. I didn't end up going with the cotton theme myself, instead went a little more practical. Every since we moved into our house, Lex has been eyeing a pressure washer at Sam's. Well, now that we are actually fixing up our backyard nice, I got him a pressure washer! It's his new toy and I am sure he will be keeping our house very clean now :o)

So all in all, we had a very nice Anniversary and look forward to many many more!

Chimney Rock

So this year we headed to Chimney Rock with Clayton & Julie. This is the spot where Lex lost his ring about two years ago...refer back to April 2006 posts if you forgot the story :o)

We love this place and actually went for the annual pass this year and hope to head up there several more times to do some good hiking.

Eye Surgery

I have been meaning to post these pictures for about the past month, but it's better late than never right? After much discussion, we decided that Lex should get Lasik. His eyes were always giving him problems and if anything else, it could save us money in the end, hoping we won't have to buy glasses or contacts ever again :o)

He actually had a procedure called PRK done, which is a little less risky than actual Lasik, but the recovery time takes weeks. Here are a few pictures to show what it was like for the first few days...

The before picture.

He wore these sunglasses for about 4 days straight. His eyes were very sensitive to light.

At night he had to wear these patches so that he wouldn't try to scratch his eyes.

The second day his eyes started to swell, you couldn't tell very well, but in the photo below, they had gotten pretty swollen. He tried to sleep as much as possible!

Now, he is 100% perfect, he went back to the eye doctor last week and his eye sight was 20/15! I'd say it worked pretty good! We would highly recommend this to anyone that is considering it!
