Eye Surgery

I have been meaning to post these pictures for about the past month, but it's better late than never right? After much discussion, we decided that Lex should get Lasik. His eyes were always giving him problems and if anything else, it could save us money in the end, hoping we won't have to buy glasses or contacts ever again :o)

He actually had a procedure called PRK done, which is a little less risky than actual Lasik, but the recovery time takes weeks. Here are a few pictures to show what it was like for the first few days...

The before picture.

He wore these sunglasses for about 4 days straight. His eyes were very sensitive to light.

At night he had to wear these patches so that he wouldn't try to scratch his eyes.

The second day his eyes started to swell, you couldn't tell very well, but in the photo below, they had gotten pretty swollen. He tried to sleep as much as possible!

Now, he is 100% perfect, he went back to the eye doctor last week and his eye sight was 20/15! I'd say it worked pretty good! We would highly recommend this to anyone that is considering it!

I thank GOD that he did so well.
I hope tht he knows that I prayed for him the whole time he was going thoughthe healing process.
The pictures show the decrease in his smile as the days went by and how uncomfortable he must have been.
I am thankful that he has healed and the operation was successful.
