For Memorial Day, we headed to Litchfield Beach, just south of Myrtle Beach. We rented a house with 3 other couples and just relaxed for three days! It was great. Unfortunately, the battery on my camera went out on me, so I didn't get to take any pictures! BUT - luckily Julie already posted a few on her blog and Sara has a few on Facebook, so I am just going to steal a few of their pics! (Thanks Julie & Sara :o)***For those of you that already looked at this blog...I added a few more pictures, thanks Sara!

We ate outside at a place called Creek Ratz for dinner one night. It's so nice to be able to sit outside on the water at night. We had a great time!

Here we are fishing off the back of the boat. I actually caught a fish - but it was pretty small. Later that day off the shore is where all the real fishing was done. Most of the day us girls laid on the beach, read and relaxed.
On Saturday night, the boys headed to the beach to do a little more fishing and much to their surprise, they did great! The best part about it was that there was a Wedding Reception going on at the house they happen to be fishing in front of and everyone from the reception got to join in on their fun! This picture only shows a few of the fish they caught. If you will notice that Lex's fish is actually a SHARK! AND...he caught it with his bare hands! It broke off his line and he went running after it thinking it was a blue fish - much to his surprise, he picked it up and discovered it was a shark! Yikes!
This picture is of the Chef from the Reception, he came down when he heard they were catching all these fish and offered to grill it for them right there on the spot! It was so exciting and very tasty!

Looks like fun! We had a great time when we stayed at a resort in Litchfield two years ago. We hope to go back again someday as well. :) Hope you have a great summer. It looks like it's off to a good start.
Love the pictures! Looks like a great weekend full of good friends, good food, SHARKS and fun! All the makings of an 'annual roadtrip'! Love to you BOTH! Mom Poth
