5 Months

Today Levi turned 5 months old! This past month has been a big one in his life, so much has changed and he is becoming more of a baby and not so much of a newborn. He is so much more interactive and is really starting to "get it"! First off, and most important, he is finally sleeping through the night (11-12 hours)! Woo hoo!! This took some work, but he's finally there. We realized a big part of the problem was that he wasn't satisfied with how much he was eating, so I have started supplementing in the evenings with formula. With that said, we also started him on rice cereal this week. I wasn't planning to start him this early, but he was showing all the signs and was getting hungry early for each meal (and he's still eating every 3 hours). He LOVED the cereal and was pretty upset when I ran out (see 2nd pic below)! He is also starting to take longer naps - again, woo hoo!! Two of his naps are usually 1 1/2 or 2 hours long, with that and good nights - this mamma has the energy to play, cook, clean, create...etc! It's great, except I do miss getting to hold him for those little cat naps he used to need. We also broke him of the swaddle, which I think also helped him learn how to sleep through the night, he did great with that too! Somethings to remember this age by....he has the sweetest, most contagious smile ever....he giggles when you tickle his thighs....when you tickle his chest he gets soo tickled he curls his whole body down and acts like he just can't handle it anymore it tickles so much, same thing with kisses on his neck....he LOVES a good massage with lotion after his baths....he enjoys diaper changes and tummy time on his changing pad....he makes rolling over a game and thinks it's pretty funny to roll over and over and over....he's getting close to rolling over from back to tummy, but not quite there yet.....he has really started enjoying his jumper and can play by himself for a good length of time...sometimes if Mommy leaves the room he starts fussing and stops as soon as I come back, mamma boy for sure :)....he reaches and grabs for anything and everything and then it goes straight into his mouth....he loves the baby bjorn and will almost always fall asleep in it....That's all I can think of for now, I'm sure there's more! This month has been a big month and I am so excited to watch him learn even more this upcoming month!

Photoshoot...he looks like such a big boy in this outfit! And I love Katelyn's face in this one!

Oh and I had to document his poopy face...I am sure he will love me for this when he's older...but it just cracks me up. He turns bright red/purple, he's not fooling anyone with this face. And really this picture doesn't do it justice.

Also, another documentation photo - He has two sections of hair that are super long and it cracks me up. Although since I took this photo (a week ago) he has started losing even more hair up top, so it's not quite as evident. Good thing I took the pic when I did!
