Sad Goodbye

It has taken me awhile to get up the courage to post this, but a few weeks ago we found a new home for Ginobili. It is something we have tossed around for awhile, but felt guilty and knew we would miss him. We've had Gino since he was 8 weeks old and we were still newlyweds. He's grown up with us in this house!  He was a very good dog and always great with the kids too, but now that we have 2 kids we just weren't giving him the attention he needed and he was adding more stress than companionship.   We were a little worried about how Katelyn was going to react, but she has been taking it very well. When we finally told her he was going to be staying with the other family and not coming home, she didn't seem too phased by it, but said she was going to miss him and still talks about him daily.....how he is going to eat the food she drops, about playing with him at the park, and she continues to pray for him every night before bed. I am sad that Levi is not going to have that same experience with a dog, but I believe it was the right thing to do.

We miss you Gino!!

I took these pictures the day he left :(

One last shake.... :(

Oh, this is a sad post. I miss Gino too. Do you get visitation?! :) I'm sure he will be happy in his new home!

It's a hard decision but I'm sure Gino would be happier with a family that can pay more attention to him. I felt guilty about Bucky but now he's so much happier. It's hard with little ones!

Knowing this happened was one thing, but reading this and seeing these last pictures is breaking my heart. Miss you, Gino!

This post made me so sad. I almost cried. ;0(
I know you made the right decision for your family. I know that Gino will be happy in his new home and the kids will have more room to play on the floor. Gino was a good dog I am glad that you had him as long as you did.
