Katelyn is THREE

Three years ago, we had no idea what a beautiful, sweet, funny, smart, quirky, impressionable, passionate, loving, caring, and sociable little girl we held. She is growing up way too quickly. I can't believe it! She is a true kid now and acts it, that's for sure! I love how she has become such a caring big sister. Always looking out for Levi making sure there aren't any choking hazards around, bringing him his blanket if he gets hurt or upset, singing to him to help distract him when Mommy steps out of sight or to keep him awake in the car. I am amazed at her everyday and so excited to watch her grow!

We woke up bright and early on Sunday, cooked pancakes and let her open two presents....a TICKET on the Dinosaur Train and a Conductor outfit to wear from Grammy & Pappy!! (Don't you love that morning-do by the way :) After getting home from our drive home from Texas on Saturday, we drove 2.5 hours to Bryson City, NC just for K to experience a real train ride! And it was definitely worth it!  We left at 7:30 AM and got there a little early, so we hit up the gift shop and got her a few new figurines (which was by far her favorite part. She played with them the whole time)

All Aboard!!!

Waiting on the conductor to come by and punch her ticket! She was a little confused as to why "Mr. Conductor" wasn't there....that was my one knock on the whole deal. I wish they had more characters or something on the actual train. It was, after all, a "Dinosaur Train"!

We traveled about 30 minutes through the smokey mountains, over a bridge/river and into a large open area where they had all kinds of fun activities for the kids. Dino Golf, Bounce Houses, a fossil dig, footprint hunt, food, etc.

The first on her list was meeting Buddy! He's her second favorite dinosaur :) She was by far the most attached kid I saw. Once she got up there, she wanted to hug, kiss, talk to him and wasn't ready to leave after her picture was taken. None of the other kids seemed to be quite as attached. Love my sweet girl!

The rest of the characters were all big blow ups, which was a big hit!

Levi was pretty content in his stroller.

We spent 2 hours here and then it was time to say goodbye to Mr. Conductor, one last hug!

My window was pretty foggy...but all the staff came out and waved goodbye as they played Dinosaur Train over the loudspeaker!

Once we got home, it was time to open the rest of her presents...

Her favorite gift...an RV for all her little people!

I'm behind on my blog reading! Katelyn is so sweet. We need to make sure the girls find time to play "ding dong" sometime! Lily had so much fun at Katelyn's party, and you did such a great job with everything. Too cute!
