We took our annual trip to Holly Lake over the Forth of July and had a blast as usual. There are so many things that have become tradition, we pretty much have to do it all every time we go now.
Firehouse Waffle Breakfast & Bingo (Mimi has those pictures)
Putt Putt Golf - all the kids were into it this year, even Kyler!
And of course Pickleball & Pickleball lessons.
The Golf Cart Parade!!
Frog Catching - okay this might become a new tradition.
Fireworks over the lake.
And a first for us this year - The Magic Show - complete with cutting a lady in two, the guillotine act, and Mimi was even pulled up to the stage for a trick too!
After 4 nights there, the kids and I headed to Carrollton for a few extra nights while Lex traveled for work. We had movie night, played at their favorite park, hit up the splashpad twice (both times thunder rumbled as soon as we got there, so we had to turn around...boo), the Rosemeade Rainforest Waterpark, a ride on the train, and lots of playtime at home. We were all sick during most of this trip with the same respiratory virus Katelyn had during swim team, so we did actually take it a little easy.
Here's a few more from Holly Lake at Point Park, where we searched for treasures with a metal detector and collected shells.
Levi wanted to just drive the golf cart, all day, every day!!
Thanks for a fun week Mimi & Pops!! We miss y'all already!
