First Day of School - Kindergarten & 3rd Grade

This boy is so ready for Kindergarten! He walked in without even looking back to say good-bye! I'm so proud of him!! He's going to have a great year!

3rd Grade!! She's moved to the upstairs classrooms and feels like such a big kid! She was so excited she couldn't sleep last night and hopped right out of bed this morning perky and ready to go! She's going to have a great year too!

The house was super quiet today though, Kyler didn't have too hard of a time talking constantly though and getting Mommy's undivided attention!! He definitely missed them, but he also loves having Mommy all to himself. 

Rockport Vacation

We had a fantastic time in Rockport earlier in August. We spent a week in a house on Key Allego with Pappy & Lindsay. We relaxed, we ate, we played lots of games, we hit the pool, the beach, the shops, etc. And we talked about how lucky Rockport has been not to have had a hurricane in 40+ years. Little did we know a few weeks later the biggest hurricane it has ever seen would come through. We have seen pictures and videos of the houses, marina, restaurants & shops we visited while we were there, that are now destroyed. It's so sad and hard to imagine at the same time. Life is short, live every day to the fullest! You never know what the next day holds!
