Our most recent DIY to the house was adding shutters to the front windows. Lex cut and created the shutters, I stained them and then he hung them (with a little help from me)! It adds so much to the front of the house....we love them!

We also added some boxwoods to the flower bed between the carport and the house......BUT little did we know that you can over water them.....so they are now dead :) One day we'll have a green thumb, right? It's a learning process, that's for sure! Lex also added a dripline to all the flower beds, so we can manage the water a lot easier, hoping not to overwater anymore. Plus we got this cool probe that you stick into the ground and it can tell you if it's DRY/MOIST/WET. It's been super helpful. For now though, we are waiting for the temperatures to cool down to plant anything else.
