NASA

We took a vacation over to Houston to visit NASA at the beginning of August. We had the best time! Rockets and space have been a topic of interest and playtime here for years....so it was fun to see lifesize versions and watch the kids eyes light up! They all loved it. Except for the lines....it got pretty crowded by mid-day.

They take you by trolly to Mission Control for Apollo 11, to the Astronaunt Training facility, and to Rocket Park/Saturn V. We spent most of our time doing those attractions and ran through the indoor exhibits, because we just ran out of time. We could have spent a few more hours there, for sure.

All three kiddos inside a mock-up of one of the Apollo capsules.

Apollo 11 Mission Control. We sat through the reinactment of the day Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, it was really neat!

Saturn V....boosters

And we ended the visit with some freeze dried ice cream!
