Lex and I were able to go out a few times over the last month. First was the Poth Education Gala, which is such a blast. Dinner, Friends, and a Casino Night. I even got a few things from the Silent Auction...like tickets to the Doseum, Schlitterbahn and Anytime Fitness!
Then Lex's company had a Christmas party for the first time in 14 years! It was our first since he's only been there 6 years. It was downtown San Antonio, so we decided to stay at the Gunther hotel and make a night of it. Loved the Gunther, so pretty (pictures below). When we booked it though, we didn't make the connection that the kids had a piano recital also downtown the next morning and then we offered to have the Swierc family party at our house that afternoon. Whew, it was a lot, but so worth it! I was able to get everything prepared during the week, so it all worked out nicely. AND Lindsay was so gracious to watch our kiddos Friday night AND get them ready for the recital and met us downtown Saturday morning! FYI Saturday at 8 am is definitely the time to visit the Riverwalk, so peaceful!
