Lex had a successful dove hunting weekend and the kids jumped in on the action at the end by helping him clean the birds....I was shocked at how much they enjoyed this. Like loved it!! haha! I guess we'll have a few hunters pretty soon!
And Pappy has started making arrowheads out of flint and the boys really got into "helping", okay they actually just enjoyed busting them up!
Jackson spent the night with us Saturday, they played hard and had a blast! So glad the kids friends always seem to get along with everyone!
And Hadley turned 6 this week!! Happy Birthday Hadley!
I spied Levi on the Poth FB page....3rd grade used shaving cream to make different landforms in class one day! Doing good, Levi!!
Oh and we've had an unusual about of Geckos lately....one surprised me in my water cup one morning. Unfortunately, I didn't notice him until he was IN my mouth! I spit the mysterious chunk from my water into the sink to see this little guy! UGH, so gross!!
And we had an influx of blister bugs one night on our porch. We didn't realize what they were until we spotted this on Levi's neck the next day. He said he felt something weird, but it didn't truly hurt. So we googled it and they were definitely blister bugs. #countrylife
I guess living in the country is finally catching up with us....we've had this stray cat hanging out at our house since Saturday night. We thought it was Kim and Dean's so we fed it a little on Saturday night (it was crying like it was hungry) so now it won't leave and it won't stop crying. Poor thing. Kim gave us some cat food to get started with and the kids have named it Hunter. So I guess we have a cat now! So far he's been really sweet and lets the kids pick it up with out scratching or biting. We'll see how long he sticks around!
