Road Trip 2022 - DAY 1

We planned a legit road trip for this summer and it was amazing! We were originally thinking we'd head to the Grand Canyon this year, but decided we'd try to go somewhere a little cooler and settled on Colorado!

Off we went bright and early July 2nd....kids were set with their travel binders, blankets, pillows, etc! Their favorite thing to do on road trips is the license plate game. This year we were so close to filling in all 50 states, not quite, but so close! Lex did all the driving and I was so thankful, it was a long haul, so so worth it!

In order to hit up as many sites as possible we stopped in Santa Fe our first night to visit Indian country. The adobe style homes and buildings were an amazing site! I was surprised that everyone had adobe homes and the entire downtown was also adobe! We ate at Olive Garden to celebrate Katelyn's score on her STAAR test (100 in Math, 98 in Reading)!! Then they wanted to check out the hotel gym, Katelyn got her run in for the day and the boys got some good exercise too!

A lot of driving but we were all happy to be settled for two nights in Santa Fe!
