Day 5 & 6

Hungry Hunter's Breakfast.....This meal was a favorite for all! Levi's was the most impressive, but we all had an excellent meal.

After breakfast, we ran by the fish hatchery again because we had several people recommend it to us, it's free, and it was closed the first day we went by. They had a small aquarium and video inside the building about trout and why they have a hatchery. Then outside they have everything from the tiniest of babies up to giant "grandpa" type trout. They truck them and release them into the rivers/lakes in the area which makes for some great trout fishing. We'll have to actually fish next time, but it was fun  to see and we all enjoyed running around outside and feeding the fish.

Notice in the background of this picture, they released two sections of the dam while we were there. It had rained quite a bit the night before, so they were moving some of the water out of the lake into the river area. They first set off a loud siren to warn the fisherman below and then opened up the dam. Levi especially was interested in this process. After viewing the hatchery we walked as close as we could to watch the river rise.

Then we headed back to the pool for a long afternoon swim! We were able to swim 3 times while we were there, Kyler is becoming quite a fish, especially with flippers on.

Then a little rest time back at the condo before heading out for the afternoon.

Katelyn really wanted to do a ropes course, so we found one that looked amazing at "Top of the Rock's Fun Mountain", which is another resort owned by Bass Pro. We made the trek to the Top of the Rock, stopped for this cliffside dangerous photo 🤭 (JK, there was a grassy hill right behind us, not a cliff) then ventured on to find Fun Mountain.

Once we finally found where we were going, the ropes course was closed. They had go-karts, bowling, an arcade, etc., but we were tired and didn't feel like doing any of that. So the kids played on this cool tree house for a bit, then we headed to dinner at Fish House.

At Branson Landing, which is a river front outdoor shopping mall, they have a Bellagio style water show each evening, so after dinner we walked over there and sat to watch the show. We were worn out after a full vacation, so we took a few more pictures around town as we walked back to our car and called it a night.

Kyler marking a few more license plates we had seen that day around town before he went to bed. Those sweet baby hands, love them!

We woke up, packed up, and headed to Carrollton to see Mimi and Pops! We were so glad we got to spend a night with them, especially now that the Cornavirus social distancing thing is in full affect. It might be awhile before we get to see any of our extended family now. BUT, we'll do what we have to to keep everyone safe.

Before dinner we hit up our favorite playground to get some wiggles out after being in the car all day!

We can't wait for our next vacation! It was great to get away with our little family. The memories are worth it all. Levi even commented about how he looks forward to taking his family to Branson one day!💗💗💗
