November Happenings

Here are some random pictures of our November....it was full of Christmas prep, school, and family!

This year Katelyn handmade gifts for almost everyone on her list. She really loves creating and giving to those she loves. Every year she does this and every year it gets bigger and better. I love this about her!  This is the inside of a snowglobe she made me (she made the snowman out of clay and glued it to the underside of the lid of an old a pickle jar). All of her creations she did completely on her own this year and used mostly her own money too!

Lex had the kids help him pick all these Chili Pequins from our back property one day, then they made Chili pequin infused olive oil!

Hunter is officially part of the family, we all love him so much! He needed a family as much as we needed a pet. These kids have taken on all the responsibility of feeding him and loving on him! And Rose is easily considered our step dog as well. We love her and she is over here often, usually playing with Levi or Lex :)

More creative fun....teaching the kids how to cut out snowflakes!

And Kyler ended up cutting out two people holding hands too using the same concept.

Lots of playtime....legos, playmobile, cousin time, games, and lots of outside time! This has become my favorite weather of the year. South Texas "winter" really is the best!

The week before Thanksgiving, Poth schools shut down due to an outbreak of COVID in the community. So we did school at home that week. Luckily, it only lasted 4 days, then we had Thanksgiving week off!

I included this picture because I realize I am usually the one behind the camera. I'm not sure who took it (one of the kids, I'm sure) but I actually like it. It shows me in my daily "mom" mode, which is how the kids prefer me and will probably remember me like this more than anything else!

The kids practiced lots of piano in November as well, for their upcoming piano recitals that happened in early December. Katelyn especially is really loving piano and is thriving!

We love a good rain here, it doesn't happen often. But when it does we've got some great puddles to play in!

Allison stopped by on her drive home from Houston to Cali. We were so happy to see her and catch up! We wish she lived closer so we could hang out more often!
