Officially a Teenager

It's finally official, Katelyn is 13!! We celebrated for weeks it seemed like, but we wouldn't have it any other way. She is so fun to celebrate!

The morning of her birthday, she woke up and went to cross country practice at 6:30 am, while she was gone we decorated the fireplace, set out her presents, and rearranged her bedroom furniture....which was her big present. We pulled out the dresser in her room (my Me-Maw's antique dresser has been her furniture since she was 6) and brought in two new 3 drawer dressers, a headboard, and shelves over her desk. It looks so good! Apparently, I did not take a picture yet though. I'll work on that :)

Funny story though, she normally takes at least 45 minutes to an hour at practice, but she was so excited about her birthday that she called me around 30 minutes later and we were not done, so we made her wait another 15 minutes before we'd go pick her up. LOL. I guess she ran extra fast that day hoping to get to open presents sooner!

The Birthday Girl!!

Levi made Katelyn a basket of all her favorite things...candy, white cheddar popcorn, and a tree hut sugar scrub. She loved it! He has such a generous heart!

Kyler got her some candy too and made this sweet card!

Bagels and Lox were her breakfast of choice!

She also got a Garmin watch for all her cross country stats, crocs, clothes, organizational bins, hair accessories, room decor, etc.

For dinner that night we went to Olive Garden with Pappy and the fam! Her favorite restaurant!

And then came home for a late night swim!  Love these sweet siblings!

On Sunday, we met Lindsay & Pappy at Olive Garden to remember Sandra's birthday as well. She would have been 70 this year. I can't believe she's been gone almost 6 years. We miss her dearly. She would have loved to watch the kiddos grow up!

And of course we loved getting to celebrate Mimi too! Here's the picture Cindy took on her actual birthday and then we got to celebrate with her at our house a few days later. Happy 73rd Birthday, Mimi!

Kyler made her another pillow with tassels from Katelyn's curtains (She cut them off to make her room a little more grown up looking).

Levi spent his own money to get her a Chili's gift card. And Katelyn picked out some fun trinkets she knew Mimi would like too!

Birthday Twins!

Katelyn had a few friends spend the night for her birthday as well. It was such a great, low key party. We got pizza, they swam until 11 pm, did blindfolded makeovers, face masks, and they were all asleep by 2 am. Lex took the boys to the ranch for the night, so it was just me here with the girls. It was the calmest sleepover we've ever had. Lots of fun girl time! And my friend Leslie made these adorable cookies!

A few weeks prior we also headed up to Austin to celebrate both Mimi & Katelyn's birthday's with Cindy, Lindsay, & Pops. We went to Hula Hut for lunch, then got our nails done, and a quick drink/snack at Sonic before heading back south. Drew had just gotten out of the hospital after two back to back episodes. We were so happy he was doing so well and Cindy was able to come out for the day. We all love getting to spend time with her!
