We woke up bright and early, checked out of the YMCA and headed south! We made it to our AirBNB just outside of Palo Duro Canyon around dinner time. We had grabbed dinner at Whataburger and were excited to check out our cabin. It was the cutest little cabin right at the entrance of Palo Duro Canyon, where we had tickets to see TEXAS that evening. We relaxed and just hung out at the cabin until showtime, which didn't start until 8 pm.
There were no photos allowed during the performance, but we got couple in before the show started. We all LOVED the show, it kept everyone's attention with the singing, dancing, storyline, and water show at the end! We highly recommend this for anyone traveling through Amarillo.
We went from the gorgeous views of the Rocky Mountains to the desert view of Palo Duro Canyon. LOL, but it had it's own beauty for sure!
The next day we headed back home. We had tickets to enter the canyon to hike a bit, but decided we were all ready to get home. We saw glimpses of the canyon when we drove in the night before so we called that good and got on the road.
It was a long, dry, flat drive home. But we made it and it was so good to be home. We all loved this trip and can't wait until our next adventure!
