Halloween this year was super fun! I am the treasurer on the PTO this year, so along with three other ladies we planned the community Halloween Festival. Normally the festival consists of booths with a ton of games for the kids to play, a costume contest, a haunted house, etc. But because of COVID, we had to make it a drive-thru event. We had the idea to invite local business to come set up trunk-or-treat style and allow them to advertise their business while passing out candy. It was quite stressful at times, not knowing how it was going to turn out, but in the end we had a great turnout and have heard great things from all that came. Whew!
The day after Halloween the kids finally got to carve their pumpkins....I made them wait until after the festival because we used their pumpkins as part of the decor! haha!
These pictures are in reverse order of the night, so here Levi and Kyler went and trick-or-treated with Jackson after the festival, Katelyn went with her friend Kendall, and Lex and I stayed to finish and clean-up. We are so thankful for their friends and parents so they could still trick or treat a little.
Cow Patty Bingo was a success! It took almost two hours, but he finally pooped on #59! Haha! You know you live in a small town when one of the biggest fundraisers is relying on a cow to poop :)
The Eckel's drove the boys through the parade in a Mustang Convertible, Katelyn kept working our trunk, passing out candy!
This was one of my favorite trunks, TKO with our friend Audrey (Molly, Kyler's friends Mom)! They made a pirate ship out of cardboard, so amazing!
We did a Candyland theme! (Plus Jackson, Darth Vader) Kyler was the Candy King, Katelyn was the Grandma, and Levi was obviously a Hersey's Bar. They had a blast seeing there friends drive through and handing out candy!
Kendall was right next to us, they made McDonald's out of cardboard too. They even had little french fry containers to pass out their candy in! Too cute!
The Nichols and Tackitt Families driving through....
It took a lot of behind the scenes work to pull this off and the kids put in some work too.....filling candy bags (and getting paid with candy)! LOL It was a family affair! My Cricut came in handy too :)
