19 Years

Lex and I celebrated 19 years of marriage on April 2nd. Wow, time flies when your having fun!! Hard to believe it's been 19 years, but at the same time so much has happened and we've changed and grown so much in those years too. I wouldn't want to do this life with anyone else. Thankful God put us together and gave us the family we have. Here's to many many more years ahead!

Easter Sunday

We started the day celebrating our risen Savior at Grace Bible as a family.

For lunch we met up with Lindsay and Pappy at the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio. What a beautiful place!

The kids participated in the egg hunt and had a blast!

The lobby was gorgeous!

And brunch was delish! The buffet included all omelets, breakfast foods, all the smoked fish and shrimp you could eat, delicious meats and cheeses, mixed salads, fancy deviled eggs, and desserts galore!!

The hotel itself was pretty old, so the kids got a kick out of this old phone!

Back home, we relaxed, enjoyed some of the kids new items from the Easter Bunny and had another egg hunt! It was a great day!

Planting their new seeds from the Easter Bunny....Levi got sunflowers - they are already 3" tall, Kyler got watermelon, it just sprouted yesterday, and Katelyn got raspberries - hers hasn't sprouted yet, but the box said 100% guaranteed to grow!

This year we colored our egg with the Eggmazing - highly recommend!

And lastly - the PTO ladies delivering Easter baskets to every teacher and staff member in the district (120)! We had fun being the Easter Bunny for the day!

ChristBirthSter - Christmas, Birthday, & Easter - Kilgore Style

We were finally able to see my side of the family to celebrate Christmas, Drew's Birthday & Easter all at once! I coined the term - ChristBirthSter :)

The kids love Cindy's fancy drink options!!

We busted out the Christmas Prime Rib (thanks Pop's) and desserts out of the freezer - the cookies were only a little stale, but the fudge was delish :)

It was a fun surprise for all of us opening each other's Christmas presents, since we had mostly forgotten everything we bought for each other!

I think Cindy liked her Anchor Bay sweatshirt!

Kyler didn't forget about his paintings, he was so excited to give these to them!

Lego's are always a hit!

And of course we had to mix in our Easter traditions too - cascarones galore!

Family Fun

Valentine's Day fondue and fancy breakfast for my loves!

Part of healing Kyler's gut (and all of ours, really) We've started making more things from scratch, like bagels, granola, ranch, & larabars. I don't make them all from scratch, but it's fun to when I have time. It's actually been a lot of fun to learn how to still eat a lot of the same foods we love, but in a much healthier way.

We enjoyed the Super Bowl this year at the Tackitt's with friends! So fun!

And Kyler brought us home 2 new baby chicks from the 4th grade hatching project, we are all loving watchin them grow. They've gotten so big already and are about to get released into the chicken coop with the hens.

Here they are at about 3 weeks, they have doubled in size since then and are now about 6 weeks old.

The boys and I went down to Kennedy over spring break to ride bikes and were pleasantly surprised when we found some really big patches of bluebonnets and wild flowers!! It was way better in person!

This patch was on the sand volleyball court, bluebonnets had taken over!!

We also had to hit up a trampoline park one day during spring break, this is always one of their top choices when going to do something fun!

I was so proud of all of them for overcoming some fears while tackling new obstacles, but I am especially proud of this one here. He has never enjoyed anything off the ground, but he did this entire ropes course all by himself. There were times when he wanted to turnback, but the way it was designed, he couldn't go back, he had to move forward. He was so scared, but tackled his fear and had fun in the end!

We are loving our backyard this time of year!! This sunrise was breathtaking!

Game night, playing Beat That. It got pretty competitive!!

Family time is the best time!!
