Levi Lately

6th Grader All A's Donut Reward - these are some great kiddos!

JH Dance - 6th Grade Edition
Unfortunately, Levi had a stomach ache and couldn't make it to his first dance, but he would have been in these pictures, so I thought I'd keep them for posterity sake!

Levi competed in listening skills this year for the UIL competition and got 6th place in the district. This isn't the best picture, but the big photo below shows all of the JH kids that participated in UIL. We blow the other schools out of the water every year!! Great job Poth!

He's got some smart friends too!

On March 2nd, Levi had an opportunity to take his first flying lesson - he is hooked! We had the idea to ask Larry if we could meet him at his plane someday just to get a tour (we know it's expensive to take a plane in the air), but he had a better idea and hooked us up with his friend Mr. Delavan who is an instructor and owns a Piper Cub, which is a great and safe plane for a first timer.

We headed out early Saturday morning, it was a beautiful clear day. We picked up Larry and we met Mr. Delavan at his personal hanger at the Castroville Municipal Airport. He gave Levi the run down and they met up with some of Mr. Delavan's pilot friends for a formation meeting. He made me feel super comfortable, letting me know that even if something went wrong, this plane could just glide down to safety, whew!!!

Up they went....

He was given the controls some and Mr. Delavan complimented him on how knowledgeable he was with all the controls and terminology. He has officially logged his first hour of flight training. He will be back! :)

After that, Larry took us to tour his plane at Stinson Municipal Airport. He's got a really nice plane!!

We also ate lunch at the cafe there and watched all the planes and helicopters take off. We'll be back to visit the museum one day and enjoy the cafe again too. Super cool!

Levi and his buddies watching the Super Bowl at the Tackitt's.

Opening Day - March 23rd
Little League Intermediate boys

Lex is the coach for Levi's team again this year and on the board, so that means we're both stocking the concession stand again, yay! It was a fun day working concessions on opening day though, Katelyn & Kyler both worked 5-6 hours straight and really enjoyed it.

Kyler became the credit card guru - which is new to the concession stand this year. He got it all organized on the app and was having a blast, especially serving Mrs. Clark, his 4th grade teacher, when she came up to order!

After winning their first game against LaVernia!!

Also new to Levi's time consuming activities is Fortnite. We've resisted letting them have this game for awhile, but decided to let him try it out and see what it was like. I'm still not sure I'm a fan but Lex and the boys play together and he can join his friends online and play too, which is pretty cool. No worries, he doesn't play/chat with strangers and he's limited in how much time he can spend on it.
