Fun with his BFF, Anna Rose. Her family had an extra ticket to see Harry Potter with a live orchestra at the Majestic and they invited Kyler to join them. They went out to eat downtown first and it he loved it!
Hanging out at her house one day and our house the next time!
Kingdom Knights finished up in February as well and both Kyler and Lex seemed to really enjoy this ministry. As of now, they plan to do it again next school year. In the photos below, Kyler is being wrapped in toilet paper for a game they were playing. Lex sent me a picture of him just sitting their wrapped in toilet paper as they continued the meeting, he apparently didn't know the game was over and he could unwrap himself.....LOL!
They ended the program with the Dad's giving a blessing over their boys while a slideshow of photos played in the background. It's such a sweet ceremony and we are so thankful for this program.
Check out that necklace he got at Kingdom Knights, he wears it proudly!
Kyler also received 2nd place in UIL Ready Writing this year!! He did not really enjoy practicing each week, but hard work does pay off and he was so very happy he improved his place from last year!
He also was inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society, which he can't wait for their first meeting!! We are trying to encourage him to run for an officer position next year, that is one thing Katelyn & Levi did not do, but wish they had.
4th Grade Alamo Project...he loves a good project!
Just for my documentation, we are working through solutions on how to heal Kyler's eczema/intestinal issues too. We've related it to a dairy sensitivity his whole life and have mostly avoided dairy, but he loves cheese so much, it's gotten harder to do lately. In January we decided to go hard core and see if we can get to the bottom of his symptoms. They are beginning to improve, but not 100% yet. I'll document what we did, once we are successful in case we can help anyone else with similar situations.
I didn't think to take pictures of his eczema at it's worst, these are from late February, but still give me an idea of what they used to look like.
And like always, a good photo to document how I find him reading at various times of the day :)
